Murder Mystery 2
Director: Jeremy Garelick
Writer: James Vanderbilt
Stars: Adam SandlerJennifer AnistonMark Strong
Watchers of Netflix’s most recent No 1 film Murder Secret 2 have guaranteed there is a “humorous” blunder in the film’s title. Delivered on the real time feature last week, Murder Secret 2 stars Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston as a wedded couple who become entangled in a foolish crook plot. The story follows on freely from the occasions of 2019’s Homicide Secret, which saw Sandler and Aniston’s characters tackle a secret on board a very rich person’s yacht. They travel to a private island in the sequel, where they become suspects in a high-profile kidnapping case. Even though there is a murder in the story, viewers have pointed out that the mystery itself centers on a kidnapping, so the title is somewhat misleading. One person commented on Twitter, “I find it hilarious that the plot of Murder Mystery 2 revolves around a kidnapping rather than a murder.” It appears from the title that it is a legitimate murder mystery, but it is not.
